“The incident occurred on 3 May 2026, around 11pm at Outward Bound Farm in Shurugwi.”

Munjari, accordijng to Mahoko, was sleeping at home when he was awakened by the sound of a car pulling up outside.

When he peeped through the window, he observed a black Honda Fit car from which three men armed with machetes and a bolt cutter emerged while the driver remained behind.

The gang allegedly forced open a window and forced entry into the house after which they ordered Munjari to lie down.

They forcibly took his Samsung galaxy A20 cell phone, cash US$30, a sleeping bag and a blanket.

The gang went onto also force-march Munjari to the fowl run where it helped itself to the chickens, and loaded them into the car before driving off.
