Horror shooting leaves victims fighting for their lives at a Chipinge hospital

Police have launched an appeal for information that could lead to the arrest of a 30-year-old Chimanimani man who returned recently from his South Africa base to shoot his wife “multiple times”, his sister-in-law and a shopkeeper, following a domestic dispute.
Francis Makuma Magirayano (30), police said Sunday via their official communication channel on X, is wanted in connection with a case of attempted murder which occurred on Saturday in Chimanimani.
“The suspect, who is believed to have recently returned from South Africa driving a silver Toyota Fortuner (registration JV 70 SM GP), allegedly shot three victims with a firearm following a domestic dispute with his wife Mercyline Mahembe (26),” police said.

“The victims include his wife whom he shot multiple times on the cheek, hand and thigh, his sister-in-law whom he shot on the leg and a shopkeeper at a shop at Kopa Business Centre.
“All victims are currently admitted at a hospital in Chipinge.”
