Caps United’s unbeaten start to the league campaign comes under test this Thursday when they meet Ngezi Platinum who beat the log leaders twice in reverse fixtures last season.

Caps United lost 2-1 to Ngezi Platinum in April last season and also suffered a 1-0 defeat to the former champions in the reverse fixture in July.

But the Harare giants come back into the same fixture this season as a different package, as they are buoyed by an impressive four-match winning start that has seen them concede just once and scoring 6 under new coach Takesure Chiragwi, who now faces his former team.

In another potentially explosive clash at Barbourfields stadium, Highlanders face rivals FC Platinum on Friday with hopes to shake-off their lukewarm start to the league campaign that has seen the once feared giants scrape off a less inspiring four points from four consecutive draws under coach Benjani Mwaruwari.

The league campaign resumes on Thursday with third placed giants Dynamos welcoming MWOS at Rufaro stadium while newboys FC Hunters are at home to ZPC Kariba at Heart stadium same afternoon.

Triangle United host Agama FC at Gibbo while Hardrock FC welcome Herentals at their new Chahwanda stadium in Kwekwe.

TelOne face champions Scottland at Ascot with Bulawayo Chiefs entertaining former champions Simba Bhora at Barbourfields.

The clash between Manica Diamonds and Chicken Inn at the GreenFuel Arena puts the lid on Thursday’s goal rush.
