Police gun down 2 armed robbers in Gweru shootout

Two armed robbery suspects were shot dead by police Thursday night following a shootout in Gweru, police have announced.

In a short statement posted on their official X handle, police said, “The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms a shootout incident with armed robbery suspects in Gweru tonight, resulting in the deaths of two robbers.”

The ZRP announced it will release detailed information on the incident this Friday.
