Scottland clinch Castle Challenge Cup after rampage show over Dynamos
Musona brothers on target as Mapeza marks winning start as Scottland gaffer

Scottland have hoisted the Castle Challenge Cup after a putting up a rampaging 5-0 hammering of Dynamos in a one-sided encounter at Rufaro stadium this Sunday.
Knowledge Musona, his younger brother Walter and Khama Billiat all scored in the second half while the other goals came from Emmanuel Ziocha and Tymon Machope before the half-time break.
Scottland, always showing their strength in depth in the match, wasted several scoring chances that could have worsened the Glamour Boys’ fate, with Machope denied by the woodwork immediately after scoring his goal.
The triumph marks a winning start for highly rated coach Norman Mapeza who joined Scottland recently to champion club owner Scott Sakupwanya’s dream of forming a dominant football outfit in Zimbabwe and beyond.
For Dynamos, the defeat saw the end of their 11 match unbeaten run stretching from last season under former coach Kelvin Kaindu.
Scottland qualified to play in the Castle Challenge Cup by virtue of being 2025 Zimbabwe Premier League champions while Dynamos won the Chibuku Cup to be eligible.
Dynamos barely threatened Mabviravira, and the only time they bared their teeth, they were denied by the woodwork late in the first half.
