Family horror as boy (3) mauled by crocodile
As 10-month-old infant also drowns in 20-litre water bucket

A three-year-old boy was Tuesday snatched and dragged into the water by a crocodile while a 10-month-old aby also drowned in a bucketful of water in two separate incidents that happened in Jambezi and Harare, respectively.
In the first case, police of Wednesday reported that “a three-year-old boy was attacked and dragged into the Matetsi River by a crocodile at Masikili Village, Jambezi, on 10 February 2026”.
“The child had accompanied his mother and sibling to the river for fishing when the incident occurred.
“The ZRP and the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Authority are still searching for the body.”

In the second incident that happened in Glen Norah A, Harare, on Tuesday.
“A 10-month-old infant allegedly drowned in a 20 litre bucket after he was left playing with his four-year-old sister while the parent was doing some house chores.
“The child was rushed to Charms Clinic where he was pronounced dead upon admission,” police said on their official X handle on Wednesday.
