Woman vanishes after knifing lover in infidelity row

A Harare woman is reportedly on the run after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend three times when he confronted her for entertaining male friends.
The incident happened last week Wednesday at around 3pm in Ashdown Park, Harare, according to a statement by then acting police spokesperson for Harare Province Assistant Inspector Faith Mapisa
Mapisa identified the suspect as Ema Chimusoro of Ashdown Park in Harare. Her age was not given although she is believed to be younger than her lover who is 35.
The police spokesperson said the victim – Solomon Chitana – who resides in Bloomingdale, was in a love relationship.
The dispute arose when Chitana questioned his lover why she was in the habit of entertaining some male friends. This did not go down well with her.
“Chimusoro then moved away from her lover and came back after some few minutes and started yelling at him telling him that she would not stop playing with her male friends,” Mapisa said.
“Suddenly, Chimusoro allegedly produced a knife and stabbed Chitana once on the right-hand shoulder and twice on the back and sustained a deep cut on the right-hand shoulder and a moderate cut on the back.”
A report was filed at Mabelreign police station whie Chitana was referred to Parirenyatwa Hospital for treatment. His condition was said to be critical.
Police are appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of Chimusoro.
