Dynamos, Highlanders survive relegation
…While Yadah, Green Fuel and Bikita Minerals sink to Division One football

Fallen giants Dynamos and Highlanders have survived from the Premier Soccer League in their last bid to stay afloat, while Yadah, Green Fuel and Bikita Minerals will join Kwekwe United among the four teams axed from the country’s top tier football competition.
Dynamos, who played the better part of the 2025 season mired in the relegation zone, toughed out a 0-0 draw against FC Platinum at Rufaro stadium, to finish sixth from bottom on the league table with 39 points to their name.
The Glamour Boys’ persistent pressure did not pay off as they had no goals to show for their industry.
Highlanders, who finished 11th on the league table, also drew 1-1 with neighbours Chicken Inn to end the season on 39 points as well.
The Bulawayo side are above Dynamos by virtue of a superior goal difference. Chicken Inn also finished with 39 points and positioned number seventh from the bottom.
At the Green Fuel Arena, Green Fuel appeared destined to survive relegation until late into the clash when Triangle found the equaliser to finish tied 1-1.
Green Fuel finished fourth from the bottom with 37 points whilst Triangle finished fifth from the bottom with 38 points – just above the relegation zone.
Elsewhere, Manica Diamonds beat Bikita Minerals 1-0 at Sakubva stadium to condemn them into playing Divison One football next season.
Yadah were also defeated 1-0 by Simba Bhora at Wadzanayi stadium.
Bikita Minerals finished third from the bottom with 37 points whilst Yadah only managed 35 points and finished second from bottom.
Manica Diamonds managed 41 points and finished 10th on the league table.
Caps United walloped already doomed Kwekwe United 2-0 to complete Sunday’s goal rush.
Meanwhile, in Saturday’s matches, league champions Scottland hoisted the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League trophy as they were officially crowned 2025 kings of the domestic league after academically dismissing TelOne 2-1.
Although Tymon Machope scored one of the goals for the Mabvuku based side, it was not sufficient to eclipse TelOne’s forward Washington Navaya’s 17 goals.
Navaya finished one goal better than Machope and for his efforts, he claimed the premiership’s Golden Boot award.
Scottland head coach Tonderayi Ndiraya was also scoring a first by being the only coach since independence to win consecutive league titles with two different teams.
Ndiraya guided Simba Bhora to their maiden league title in the 2024 Premier League season.
In other matches played same day, MWOS beat Ngezi Platinum Stars 3-2 to claim the second spot on the league table with 62 points under their belt, whilst Herentals College walloped ZPC Kariba 3-0 at Rufaro stadium.
