Issaka Mohammed scored two minutes into stoppage time to rescue a crucial point for Dynamos in a dramatic 1-1 draw with Yadah in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Match Day 33 played at Ngoni stadium in Norton on Sunday.
The goal came as a relief for the Dynamos striker whose blunder moments earlier had gifted Yadah the advantage after Evans Rusike had robbed him of the ball to put the opponents ahead.
The game was a tale of missed opportunities for both sides who are fighting to survive relegation going into the last fixture of the season.
DeMbare remain sixth from bottom with 38 points while Yadah are second from bottom on 35 points.
Both teams are part of an unprecedented nine premiership teams which all face relegation if results do not go their way in the last game of the season.
The draw also helped maintain Dynamos head coach Kelvin Kaindu’s impressive unbeaten run since he took over the troubled premiership giants’ dressing room sometime this year.
In other matches played on Sunday, Highlanders also fought out a 1-1 stalemate with Manica Diamonds at Barbourfields stadium. The two sides remain tied at 38 points each.
Triangle walloped already relegated Kwekwe United 4-0 at Gibbo stadium to momentarily ease their relegation worries.
At Wadzanai stadium, Scottland played out a goalless draw with Green Fuel whilst Ngezi Platinum Stars were involved in another goalless stalemate at Baobab stadium.
ZPC Kariba also drew 0-0 with TelOne at Nyamhunga stadium, with FC Platinum playing out a goalless stalemate against Herentals College at Mandava stadium.
Bikita Minerals forced a 1-1 draw with Simba Bhora at Sakubva stadium whilst Caps United drew 0-0 against MWOS at Rufaro stadium.
