Dynamos beat rivals Highlanders 5-3 on penalties to advance to their third successive Chibuku Super Cup final in an exciting clash played before a packed Rufaro stadium on Sunday.

The match had ended 1-1 after regulation time with goals in either half by the two teams.

The victory allowed coach Kelvin Kaindu to preserve his impressive unbeaten record since he took over the troubled giants’ dressing room few months ago.

It was sweeter for the Zambian who was welcomed by Dembare soon after his sacking by Highlanders for poor results.

Dynamos had led in the 15th minute through Emmanuel Jalai’s volley, which the star defender directed for the top right corner of Ariel Sibanda’s goalpost.

However, Melikhaya Ncube’s beautifully headed goal off an Andrew Mbeba cross in the 69th minute restored parity for Bosso, forcing the match into the dreaded penalty shootout.

On Saturday, Triangle United beat MWOS 2-0 at Ngoni stadium in another Chibuku Super Cup semi final clash.
