Table toppers Scottland open 4 point lead after Chicken Inn defeat
Early Machope strike keeps league debutants in the hunt for dream finish

Title contenders Scottland beat Chicken Inn 1-0 at Barbourfields stadium Friday to open a four-point lead at the top of the premiership table with four fixtures left to play in the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League race.
A sixth minute strike by red-hot striker Tymon Machope was enough for Scottland to subdue the struggling Bulawayo side and move closer to a dream finish in their maiden participation in the premier league.
The Match Day 30 victory by Scottland adds pressure to defending champions Simba Bhora, who now have to win both their outstanding two fixtures to recover top spot.
Simba Bhora have been topping the league table until the last two weeks when they took a break from the domestic game to fulfil their CAF Champions League fixture. They however bowed out of the competition after a 4–2 penalty shootout defeat to Nsingizini Hotspurs at Somhlolo Stadium in Eswatini on Sunday.
Scottland are now 59 points out of 30 fixtures fulfilled so far, but have played two games more than second placed Simba Bhora, who date relegation threatened Caps United in their other match this Saturday.
