Wife bashed after being caught having sex in the bush

A 47-year-old woman from Lower-Gweru was beaten up with an iron bar and left for dead by her husband who had caught her having sex with another man in the bush.
The incident occurred on Sunday in the late hours of the afternoon at Mawudo Village under Chief Bunina in Lower Gweru.
According to police spokesperson for Midlands province, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, Getrude Maphosa left home after telling her unsuspecting husband Themba Ncube that she was visiting her aunt.
“About twenty minutes later, Ncube also left home to the grazing land to round up his cattle only to receive the shock of his life.
“He saw his wife having sexual intercourse with an unknown man in the bush.
“Maphosa quickly ran away and went home. Upon being confronted by her husband she utterly denied the accusations.
“This did not go down well with Ncube who then resorted to assaulting her indiscriminately all over the body with open hands and clenched fists, a stick and an iron bar.”
The matter was reported to the police who later arrested Ncube for attempted murder.
Maphosa is reportedly fighting for her life at Gweru Provincial Hospital in a “serious condition”.
