Yamal in trouble for hiring dwarfs to perform at birthday bash
Barcelona star accused of insensitivity on rights of people with disabilities

Barcelona winger and sensational world football star Lamine Yamal is in the eye of the storm after he hired some dwarfs to perform at his birthday party which was well attended by YouTubers, influencers, and team-mates.
Yamal, who turned 18 on Sunday, threw his birthday bash same day at a rented property in the small Spanish town of Olivella, some 50 kilometres north west of Barcelona.
Drafted to be part of the performers were people with dwarfism.
The Association of People with Achondroplasia and other Skeletal Dysplasias in Spain (ADEE) described this as “unacceptable in the 21st century”.
“The ADEE has filed a complaint, so this ministry has asked the prosecutor’s office to investigate to see if the law has been violated and, therefore, the rights of people with disabilities [have been],” Spain’s Ministry of Social Rights told the AFP news agency.
Dwarfism is a condition of people and animals marked by unusually small size or short stature.
In humans, it is sometimes defined as an adult height of less than 147 centimetres (4 ft 10 in), regardless of sex; the average adult height among people with dwarfism is 120 centimetres (4 ft).
