Woman hires gang to kidnap ex-boyfriend for sex in Harare lodge
Added to the forced sex, Linos Hapanga was bashed and robbed

In a bizarre incident, a 38-year-old man was bundled into a car by his ex-girlfriend, four hired men and a woman who was in a police uniform, before being driven to a city lodge where he was forced to have sex with the ex.
In a memo, police named the victim as Linos Hapanga of Glenview 7 suburb in Harare and the ex-girlfriend as Amanda Chizanga Chakanyuka (26) of Budiriro.
Identities of five others suspects have not yet been established.
According to police, the suspects stormed Hapanga’s home on 11 July 2025 at around 6 in the morning to “arrest” him for allegedly raping and impregnating Chakanyuka.
“The accused person forced the complainant into their black BMW motor vehicle, registration number ACD 9485 whilst accused 1 and others followed boarding a Ford ranger, registration number, ADG 3211 and drove to Machipisa Pink lodge at house number 427 Engineering, Highfield,” police said.
“Upon arrival at the lodge, accused 1 (Chakanyuka) disembarked and entered into a room inside the lodge. Three male accused persons assaulted the complainant with fists.
“They took the complainant into a room where accused 1 entered and forced him to have sexual intercourse with her.
“The accused persons demanded that he should engage in sexual intercourse with accused 1 without protection citing that they wanted to remove rituals.”
After the forced act, the group allegedly seized Hapanga’s wallet which had US$142 cash and some bank cards.
They then abandoned him inside the room and drove away, leaving him to report his nightmare at Machipisa police station.
Hapanga reportedly sustained a swollen face, head ache, rib pains and was referred to Sally Mugabe Hospital for treatment.
