Caps United salvage draw as Highlanders return to winning ways

Caps United’s mini-revival suffered a dent when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Triangle in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Match Day 20 clash played at Rufaro stadium on Sunday.
Ishmael Wadi netted a simple header at the stroke of full time to rescue a point for the hosts who had fallen behind when Hastings Chapusha scored an own goal after 48 minutes.
The Green Machine remain number 11 on the league table with 24 points.

In another clash played same afternon, Highlanders remembered how to win when they beat Green Fuel 1-0 at Barbourfields.
The Bulawayo giants now have 27 points, and with a bit more consistency, they could find themselves in the championship conversation.
In Saturday’s results, Simba Bhora swapped top position with MWOS, albeit on a superior goal difference, following a 3-2 victory over Herentals College in a nail biting encounter at Rufaro stadium. The two teams have 40 points each.
Yadah condemned MWOS to their second defeat of the season when they were stunned 1-0 at The Heart stadium.
Second from bottom Dynamos continued to sink deeper into the relegation matrix when once again they lost 1-0 to TelOne at Ascot stadium in Gweru. They remain with a measly 15 points to their name.
Scottland beat Ngezi Platinum Stars 2-1 at Baobab stadium to keep their title charge alive while FC Platinum preserved their unbeaten run when they beat Chicken Inn 1-0 at Mandava stadium in Zvishavane.
ZPC Kariba settled for a goalles draw against Manica Diamonds at Nyamhunga stadium in Kariba.
Bikita Minerals added insult to injury on hopeless Kwekwe United by beating them 1-0 to complete Saturday’s goal rush.
Kwekwe United remain rooted at the basement of the log standing, and unless something miraculous happens, appear heading back to division one next season. They have a mere eight points to their name.
