Woman grabs husband by his privates, pours boiling water on him

A 19-year-old Hwange woman grabbed her husband by his private parts and poured boiling water on him for confronting her over “messages on her phone”.

But that was not enough of her abusive behaviour as she also went on to pour some boiling water on a neighbour who had come in to intervene.

The violent incident happened on 2 June this year.

Prosecutors said the woman from Makwika Village “slapped him, grabbed his private parts, dragged him into the kitchen, and poured boiling water on his lower body, causing serious injuries”.

“He was taken to the hospital for treatment, and a report was filed with ZRP Hwange.

“A concerned neighbour who attempted to intervene was also burnt with boiling water on her chest and she was also hospitalised,” said the National Prosecuting Authority in a Wednesday post on X.

For her actions, the woman was arraigned before a Hwange magistrate for domestic violence and another of assault.

She was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment for domestic violence, 24 months imprisonment for assault of which 12 months was suspended for 5 years on condition of good behaviour and the remaining 24 months suspended on condition of performing 630 hours of community service.
