A man suspected to have been murdered was Thursday found with his eyes missing along Zambezi river banks in Kazungula.
Police said the body of a man believed to have been in his 40s was found in its “initial stages of decomposition” Rapids area, Matetsi Unit 6, Kazungula.
The body was discovered by Philemon Munkuli, a Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) official, who had been on a hunting expedition with tourists from Duduzile Safaris.
He informed his colleagues who made a report at Kazungula police station, which is 12km away from the scene.

According to police, the body was found facing upwards with its head lying on sharp rocks.
The deceased reportedly had a “deformed skull with some blood stains also observed on his t-shirt”.
A one-metre long, blood-stained wooden log was on the left side of the body, suggesting he could have been murdered.
His eyes were also missing in what is also believed they could have been eaten by vultures.
The body, which was clothed in blue trousers and green t-shirt, was about four metres from the water.
