Top Johanne Masowe church leader Madzibaba Mathias Nyakudya dies

The apostolic sect has been plunged into mourning following the death of Johanne Masowe Echishanu sect member Madzibaba Mathias Nyakudya, who was regarded as one of the top most influential leaders within the white robbed denomination.
Madzibaba Mathias had been ill for sometime. He passed on at his home in Domboshava at around 1am on Friday.
The cause of his death was not immediately clear although old age was seen as a factor to his demise.
Madzibaba Mathias’ age has not been very clear to many. However, his followers believe he was above 95.
The late church leader was regarded as one of the Big 5, a colloquial expression coined by the church’s followers to refer to the top most five individuals within the hierarchy of leadership.
Surviving top leaders who equalled his stature and influence within the church are former Zanu PF legislator Madzibaba Lawrence Katsiru, Madzibaba Israel Muhana and Madzibaba Gibson Chinhevere.
The other member – Madzibaba Edward Manyarara – died in a car accident at Kuwadzana roundabout in Harare a couple of years ago.
Madzibaba Mathias is survived by his wife and a number of children and grandchildren.
Initial reports shared within the church’s internal communication channels suggested he was set to be buried in Domboshava this Saturday morning.
