Dynamos edge Yadah to end winless run

As MWOS beat Caps United to reclaim top stop

By Auther Chimbgwa

Dynamos finally broke their losing jinx following a narrow 1-0 victory over Yadah FC at Rufaro stadium whilst MWOS regained top spot on the league table after a 2-1 win over Caps United.

In a Match Day 16 Premier Soccer League match played this Thursday, Clive Mandivei’s strike at the stroke of half time was enough to earn Dynamos the maximum three points and record their second win of the season so far.

As per the unwritten football rule, Mandivei did not celebrate the goal out of respect for his former club.

The once dominant football outfit who have scored just 7 times in 16 fixtures, however, remain third from bottom of the league table despite the victory.

They are now level on points with fourth from bottom Yadah with the neighbours both sharing 14 points.

In another clash played at Ngoni stadium, MWOS were lucky to win against Caps United after Eric Manokore missed from the spot to deny the Green Machine the equaliser.

The Norton based outfit now have 34 points, two ahead of second placed Simba Bhora.

At Bata stadium in Gweru, Kwekwe United received a baptism of fire after being mauled 3-0 by Triangle in front of their fans.

They remain firmly rooted at the bottom of the log standings while Triangle are second from bottom with 13 points.
