Man hangs self after killing villager in row over goat

In a shocking incident, a 21-year-old Muzarabani man hanged himself after allegedly attacking a 51-year-old villager to death following an incident in which the now deceased had accused him of stealing a goat.
Police confirmed they have opened investigations into the murder of Jestos Tsikire allegedly by Gamuchirai Mvudura at Mvudura Village, Kasekete in Muzarabani on 3 June 2025.
“Jestos Tsikire had accused Gamuchirai Mvundura of stealing his goat,” the ZRP said on their X handle.
Meanwhile, in another sad incident, an 18-year-old died following an attack by three men in Madlambuzi.
Police confirmed they have arrested Pastor Moyo, also aged 18, in connection with the murder of Qiniso Ndlovu on 3 June 2025.
Moyo, according to police, was offended when he found the now deceased engaged in a conversation with his niece at a secluded place.
He allegedly teamed up with Mkhuliseli Gumbo (21) and Sabata Moyo (21) to attack Ndlovu to death.
The other two suspects are still at large.
Police called on anyone who could know the whereabouts of Gumbo and Sabata Moyo to volunteer such information at any of their nearest police stations.
