Robbers take turns to rape woman while her lover watches

A 21-year-old woman was raped by knife wielding robbers in front of her lover in an incident that happened at the Kuwadzana turn-off along the Harare-Bulawayo highway on Monday night.
Richard Maravanyika (33) was with his lover when he pulled off the road after his car had developed a mechanical fault at around 11pm.
The pair was accosted by two men, who emerged from the nearby bush.
One of the attackers hit Maravanyika once on the head with a metal bar resulting in him falling down.
The pair then tied his hands using a test metre cable before using his t-shirt to also tie his legs.
The other robber, who was brandishing a knife, took his woman from the passenger’s seat before they took turns to rape her while his lover watched.
After the wicked act, the robbers searched Maravanyika and stole his money and two cell phones, one of which belonged to his lover.
The case was confirmed by Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, who said an investigation has since been launched into the matter.
