Girl ‘mounts’ fellow juvenile, dips finger into her privates

In a bizarre case of aggravated indecent assault, a 14-year-old Mutoko girl forced a fellow juvenile to lie on her back, gagged and “mounted” her, before dipping her finger into the victim’s privates, a court heard recently.
In committing the crime, the offender also sucked the victim’s breasts, declaring during the act that she wanted to “impregnate” her.
The victim is also aged 14, according to a report by the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) on Friday.
Police said the crime happened on 28 November 2024, at around 9am at a college in Mutoko.
“… The victim, a 14-year old was at home alone when the offender approached her while she was washing plates,” NPAZ said.
“The offender asked the victim to accompany her to her bedroom, and the two proceeded there. Upon entering the bedroom, the offender removed the victim’s pants and instructed her to lie on the bed facing upwards.”
Police said the girl forced the juvenile to “lie on her back, mounted her, covered her mouth with a cloth and inserted her finger into her privates”.
It is when the victim’s mother returned home that the juvenile disclosed the attack to her.
The matter was promptly reported to the police with a medical examination report obtained from Mutoko hospital confirming the incident.
For the crime, a magistrate convicted the offender and ordered her to spend an effective three years at Northcot Training Institute.
Northcot Training Institute, which falls under Zimbabwe’s department of social welfare, admits children up to 18 years (girls and boys) who are primarily undergoing rehabilitation after committing various small criminal acts but are given a chance for rehabilitation owing to their young age.
The offender could not be directly jailed as she is still a minor.
