Dynamos lose to MWOS as Kwekwe United fail to show up for league clash

Dynamos lost 0-1 to unbeaten log leaders MWOS in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) Match Day 7 clash played at Ngoni stadium Monday.
The fading giants fell to a Claude Mapoke strike after 54 minutes to sink to 14th position on the log standings.
Since the start of their current premiership campaign, Dembare have only recorded a single win, plus three draws and three loses.
In another headline fixture of the league’s Week 7 round of matches, Highlanders and Ngezi Platinum settled for a goalless draw at Baobab stadium.
At Rufaro stadium, Jarrison Selemani’s full-blooded strike in the 53th minute outside the penalty area saw FC Platinum cancel out Vasili Kawe’s 18 minute opener for Scottland FC.
In another clash, Simba Bhora did their title defence efforts a world of good by dispatching home side Chicken Inn on a 1-0 scoreline, thanks to a 46th minute strike by Namibian expat forward Isaskar Gurirab.
The match between Kwekwe United and Herentals College failed to take off after the former did not pitch up at Bata stadium for the clash.
Zimstar News could not readily establish the reasons behind the league debutants’ absence.
The PSL released a statement confirming the situation on Monday adding that the football administrator would take a position once it has studied a report set to be submitted by parties on the situation.
Meanwhile, in Saturday’s matches Innocent Masiiwa struck in added time to condemn struggling Caps United to yet another defeat, falling to Bikita Minerals.
In other Match Day 7 fixtures played Saturday, bottom placed Triangle finally remembered how to win by beating the miracle boys, Yadah 1-0 to record their first victory of the season at Gibbo stadium while Manica Diamonds draw 2-2 with TelOne.
On Friday, Green Fuel settled for a 0-0 stalemate with ZPC Kariba in a match that was played at Green Fuel Arena.
Following the Easter Holiday’s games, MWOS top the league table on 17 points. Simba Bhora are second on 14 while Ngezi Platinum and Scottland FC share 12 points each, but the platinum miners are third by virtue of a superior goal difference.
Traditional giants Highlanders, Dynamos and Caps United are number 7, 14 and 17 on 10, 6 and 4 points respectively.
