Bikita Minerals’ last gasp goal sinks struggling Caps United

Innocent Masiiwa struck in added time for Bikita Minerals to condemn struggling giants Caps United to yet another defeat in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Match Day 7 fixture played at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
The defeat left Caps United in more distress as fans who could not stomach another loss demanded coach Lloyd Chitembwe’s exit.
To add irony to it, some Caps United fans housed at the City End of Rufaro stadium beckoned Bikita Minerals’ players after the final whistle to move closer to the bay so that they could salute the visitors for dispatching their team.
Caps United lie second from bottom on the log standings, having recorded only one victory, a draw and five losses in one of their worst starts to a premiership campaign in a long time.
In other Match Day 7 fixtures played Saturday, bottom placed Triangle finally recorded their first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over the Yadah at Gibbo stadium while Manica Diamonds surrendered a 2-0 first half lead to eventually draw 2-2 with visiting TelOne at Sakubva stadium.
On Friday, Green Fuel settled for a 0-0 stalemate with ZPC Kariba at the Green Fuel Arena.
Match Day 7 of the current PSL campaign continue on Monday with mouth-watering fixtures that will see log leaders MWOS take on Dynamos at Ngoni Stadium.
Scottland entertain FC Platinum at Rufaro Stadium while Highlanders travel to Baobab to meet former champions Ngezi Platinum.
