Two minors, aged 4 and 2, burnt beyond recognition in home fire

In a sad incident, two Esigodini minors aged 4 and 2, were burnt beyond recognition on Saturday after a bedroom hut that they were sleeping in caught fire.

The tragedy, according to police on their X handle on Sunday, happened at around 4.30pm in Esibomvu area in Esigodini.

The infants’ mother had reportedly locked the bedroom door from the outside when she left for Esibomvu Business Centre.

Police said investigations were in progress to ascertain the real cause of the fire.
