Mnangagwa appoints Ndlovu as Environment and Climate Minister
Elevates Nguluvhe to Matabeleland provincial affairs minister

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed Evelyn Ndlovu as Minister of Environment, Climate and Wildlife as well as Albert Nguluvhe to being Minister of State for Matabeleland South Provincial Affairs and Devolution.
Ndlovu, who was Matabeleland South provincial affairs minister, replaces Sithembiso Nyoni who was fired by Mnangagwa a couple of weeks ago.
Previously, Ndlovu was Primary and Secondary Education minister.
In a statement, Chief Secretary to the office of the President, Martin Rushwaya noted that the appointments were with immediate effect.
“In terms of Section 104, Subsection 1 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe His Excellency the President, Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has appointed Hon Evelyn Ndlovu, MP, as Minister of Environment, Climate and Wildlife with immediate effect,” he said.
In a separate statement, Rushwaya also announced Nguluvhe’s appointment to his new job.
Nguluvhe, the current MP for Beitbridge East, is the former Deputy Director-General of the central intelligence organisation.
He was also a bodyguard to late former President Robert Mugabe.
