Football giants Caps United have penned a heart-warming tribute for ex-player Nyasha Mushekwi who has remembered his former paymasters through purchase of an immaculate team bus.
The former Warriors striker now plies his trade in China in one of world football’s lucrative leagues where the 37-year-old goal scorer has realised tremendous financial reward for his craft.
Even away from home, Mushekwi has remembered the club that gave him the platform to express his football talent through purchase of a bus in 2019.
“We are deeply grateful for your contribution and unwavering support for the club. Your contribution embodies the true spirit of community and compassion, and it has made a significant impact on the club’s success,” said the club in a statement.
“Thank you for your trust, commitment and continuous support. Your generosity inspires us and we are ever appreciative of your involvement.”

The coach donated by the former Mamelodi Sundowns striker remains a spectacle on the local football scene with fans often delighting in shooting images next to it.
He remains the only player in Zimbabwe’s football history to donate a bus to his former club.
Mushekwi played for Caps United between 2007 and 2010, a stretch in which he made 68 appearances for the green-shirted outfit and scoring 35 goals.
