Man dips finger into 11-year-old girl’s privates

A 47-year-old Bulawayo man inserted a finger into an 11-year-old girl’s privates “repeatedly” after fondling the minor’s breasts, a city court heard.

For the crime, the Mpopoma resident earned 15 years in prison following conviction for aggravated indecent assault.

A Western Commonage Magistrates’ Court was told that the incident occurred on October 16, 2024.

The victim was helping his daughter with some homework.

The sexual offence was committed when the offender’s daughter fell asleep, leaving the victim alone with him.

Seizing the opportunity, he approached the complainant, fondled her breasts and inserted his fingers into her privates repeatedly, the court was told during trial.

The victim reported the incident to her teacher, leading to his arrest.
