Welshman Ncube names Kurauone Chihwayi as his spokesperson

CCC interim leader Welshman Ncube has named party politician Kurauone Chihwayi as his presidential spokesperson.

Chihwayi is a long time ally to Ncube, having been spokesperson of the now defunct MDC, once known by its green colours, before its 2018 merger with the then Morgan Tsvangirai led MDC-T to form what later became known as MDC Alliance.

However, Jacob Mafume remains party spokesperson while Descent Bajila is his deputy.

CCC is currently divided into two factions that emerged soon after party leader Nelson Chamisa dumped the main opposition late last year citing infiltration by the enemy.

The other party formation is led by jailed former senator Jameson Timba.
