Three people who were aboard a helicopter found themselves in shi*t but that could perhaps be the most thankful moment of their lives as the pilot forced the chopper to make an emergency landing in a sewer pond.
According to Zambian media, the incident happened on Tuesday evening when an engine failure forced a helicopter to make an emergency landing in a sewer pond, near Livingstone’s Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, Zambia.
Police said the aircraft had two foreign tourists on board with the pilot escaped unhurt while the aircraft also had no serious damages except for a deformed rotor blade.
The pilot, Steenkamp Jurie Johannes Reyneke has been commended for saving lives.
Zambian authorities have protected the scene for further investigations.
