Schoolboy, aged 12, offered mbanje, passes out and sodomised
Lured to secluded place and offered cigarette laced with dagga, court told

A 12-year-old Chipinge schoolboy was sodomised by a 19-year-old man who first offered the minor some dagga before his alleged abuser had annal sex with him.
For the crime, the 19-year-old was dragged before a Chipinge magistrate facing aggravated indecent assault charges.

The court heard that sometime in May this year, the abuser, who was not named in a statement issued by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), met the minor who was walking to school.
He allegedly lured him to a secluded place where he offered him a cigarette laced with dagga.
“The complainant smoked the cigarette and lost consciousness,” NPA said.
“He lured and drugged him again the following day and the complainant fell unconscious.
“When the complainant regained consciousness, he found his short pulled down and the accused person was allegedly having anal sexual intercourse with him.”
His abuser was arrested after the boy confided in his mother over what had happened.
The accused person was remanded in custody to 14 August 2024.
