Government declares Zimbabwe cholera free
As zero cases of the deadly disease recorded in the last 30 days

Government has declared the country cholera free after no single case of the deadly disease was reported in any part of the country in the past 30 days.
This was revealed by information minister Jenfan Muswere at a post-cabinet media briefing in Harare on Tuesday.
“The Minister of Health and Child Care would like to advise the nation that the country has not witnessed any case of Cholera in the past thirty-days.
“This means that the country is now free from Cholera. However, the public is encouraged to continue observing hygiene and sanitation at all times,” Muswere said.
According to World Health Organisation statistics, as of 31 May 2024, Zimbabwe had recorded 19 856 cumulative cases of cholera with 396 deaths since the beginning of the year.
