Chinhoyi man stoned to death by 13 boys
Juveniles used bricks to crash 21-year-old’s head in fierce attack

A 21-year-old Chinhoyi man died from injuries sustained in a fierce attack by 13 boys who used bricks to crash his head, police confirmed Sunday.
Police said the shock incident happened on Saturday.
“ZRP is investigating a case of murder which occurred on 20 July 2024 along Hunyani River, near Rusununguko, Chinhoyi in which Passmore Moyo (21) died,” police said, adding, “13 male juveniles assaulted the victim with bricks on the head following a scuffle over an undisclosed issue”.
“The victim succumbed to the injuries while receiving treatment at Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital.”
In another incident involving attempted murder, police in Kadoma are investigating a knife attack on a 17-year-old boy by an unknown suspect.
The incident, according to police, occurred at Waverly Bust Stop, Kadoma on 20 July 2024 at around 2.30am.
The male suspect, police said, assaulted the juvenile with “booted feet and clenched fists”.
“The suspect went on to stab the victim once on the stomach with an okapi knife and he fled from the scene. The victim was taken to Sally Mugabe Hospital for treatment.”
Police appealed for information that would help in their investigations.
