Man caught smuggling 104 live snakes inside trousers
Each bag was found to contain living snakes in all kinds of shapes, sizes and colours

In a bizarre incident, a man was caught trying to smuggle 104 live snakes into mainland China with the reptiles stuffed in his trousers.
According to Chinese customs officials, the unnamed traveller was stopped after passing through the “nothing to declare” gate at the crossing between semi-autonomous Hong Kong and the city of Shenzhen.
To their shock, officials found 104 snakes in the man’s “six canvas drawstring bags” inside his trousers.

“Each bag was found to contain living snakes in all kinds of shapes, sizes and colours,” a Customs statement added.
Video footage of the incident shows officials peering into transparent plastic bags filled with tiny live red, pink and white snakes.
