Chris Mutsvangwa’s son arrested again

By Staff Reporter

Neville, son to Zanu PF spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa and Women’s Affairs minister Monica, has been arrested by police on allegations of illegal trade in foreign currency, according to the media.

Neville found himself in the hands of the law enforcement agents following a raid by detectives at his home in Harare’s upmarket Mt. Pleasant low density suburb on Wednesday afternoon.

“Neville Mutsvangwa has just been arrested today (Wednesday) at his Mt Pleasant home for illegally trading in foreign currency,” a source reportedly confided in news site NewZimbabwe.com.

His arrest follows a police blitz launched against illegal money traders blamed by Zimbabwean authorities for fuelling the depreciation of the local currency.

It is however not the first time Neville has found himself in the hands of the police.

In 2016, he was accused of rape by a Harare women, who was then 43, at his father’s offices in Harare.

He was later acquitted for the charge after his accuser gave inconsistent evidence in court.
