12 robbers seize cash, CCTV server from Harare company

Twelve robbers stormed a Harare company’s premises and attacked security guards before making off with the firm’s CCTV server and US$6 400 cash,
According to police, the gang also blew up a Chubb safe before escaping with the cash.
Police have since launched an appeal for any information that could help them catch the suspects.
“Police in Harare are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a case of robbery which occurred at a company premise at corner Hobbs and Plymouth Road, Harare on 19 April 2024,” police said in a statement posted on their X handle weekend.
“Twelve unknown suspects attacked five security guards who were on duty at the premise before breaking into the offices.
“”The suspects stole a CCTV server and three cellphones, before blowing a Chubb safe using explosives and stealing US$ 6 400 cash.”
