Dead body suspected to be that kidnapped Zim tycoon discovered in SA
South Africa based Evans Katumba has been missing for weeks

Police in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa have discovered a dead body which they believe could be that of kidnapped Zimbabwean businessman Evans Katumba.
The shocking news was confirmed by South Africa’s crime reporter Yusuf Abramjee via his X handle.

He said, “Police in KZN have discovered a body believed to be that of missing Zimbabwean businessman who was kidnapped in Durban last month.
“It is believed that a substantial ransom was paid some days ago.#CrimeWatch”
Evans Katumba, a fuel trader specialising in diesel, was snatched by men armed with AK47s on March 22 and has not been seen or heard from since.
In media interviews with his friends, Katumba’s captors demanded ransom of R2.5 million on March 24 – and R1.5 million was paid. A promise to free him was not fulfilled.
