72 passengers cheat death after bus slides off road and lands on roof

Seventy-two passengers who were aboard a Passion Link Coaches bus are lucky to be alive after the coach veered off the road on Monday and landed on its roof, with 62 reported injured and later taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police confirmed the incident.

“The ZRP confirms a road traffic accident in which 62 people were injured when a Passion Link Coaches bus with 72 passengers veered off the road to the left before overturning and landing on its roof at the 119 kilometre peg along Mutare –Masvingo Road on 1 April 2024 early in the morning. The injured victims were referred to Birchenough Bridge Hospital where they were treated and discharged,” police said via their social media handles.
