Football giants Caps United lost 1-0 at home to Bikita Minerals while five other Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Match Day 3 clashes played at different centres across the country all ended in draws.

It was the second defeat suffered by Lloyd Chitembwe’s men inside the first three games of the 2024 premiership season.

On the other hand, the victory by Bikita Minerals marked their first ever by the premiership debutants in topflight football.

Meanwhile, in the headline fixture of Thursday’s matches, league leaders FC Platinum fought to a 2-2 draw against Chicken Inn at Mandava.

FC Platinum scored through Lawrence Mhlanga and Juan Mutudza after 7 and 52 minutes respectively while Lincoln Mangaira and Michael Charamba got their account after 31 and 36 minutes.

The match pitting home side Green Fuel and TelOne ended in a 1-1 draw at Green Fuel.

There were three goalless draws in matches played between defending champions Ngezi Platinum and hosts ZPC Kariba at Nyamhunga, Manica Diamonds and Chegutu Pirates at Sakubva as well as Arenel Movers and Herentals at Luveve.

Following Thursday’s premiership fixtures, FC Platinum still top the league table on 7 points from 3 matches played while TelOne, Green Fuel, Chicken Inn and ZPC Kariba are all on 5 points from the same number of games played.
