Pair caught naked near fowl run

In a bizarre incident, two men were caught naked near a fowl run at a Masvingo farm during the wee hours of March 13.

Police have since arrested one Christopher Mawarire (42) in connection with the offence.

In a statement, the National Prosecuting Authority said Mawarire was taken to Masvingo Magistrates Court facing allegations of public indecency.

“On the 13th of March 2024 at around 0300 hours the complainants were sleeping at their home at Testwood Farm in Masvingo when they heard voices outside,” NPA said.

“They went outside to investigate and found the accused person together with his accomplice naked in their yard near the fowl run.

“The accused’s accomplice fled the scene. The matter was reported to the Police leading to the accused person’s arrest.”

Mawarire will be back in court 28 March 2024.
