Premiership reigning champions Ngezi Platinum have beaten Dynamos 2-0 to clinch the 2024 Castle Challenge Cup in a match played at Baobab Stadium this Saturday.

Ngezi Platinum got their goals from Claude Mapoka after 41 minutes while Elson Mweha put the icing on the cake with the second, 70 minutes into the clash after a defensive error by the Dynamos rear-guard left their goalkeeper exposed.

The competition pitted winners of the Zimbabwean premiership and the 2023 Chibuku Super Cup champions.

The Castle Challenge Cup gave Dynamos fans a chance to gauge the strength of their team ahead of the team’s blockbuster season opener against rivals Highlanders at Barbourfields next week.
