Edmore Zvekare accused nephew of dating wife Vaidah Musona

A Gokwe woman poured hot water on her polygamous husband leading to serious injuries when the latter was involved in a fight with his nephew over claims of a love affair with his wife.

Edmore Zvekare of Madanhire Village under Chief Jiri in Gokwe had accused his nephew of dating his eldest wife Vaidah Mavuna.

The accusations led to a physical fight between Zvekare and his nephew.

In the ensuing fight, Mavuna scalded her husband resulting in burns on his body.

Zvekare however said he had no intentions of filing a police report against his wife whom he said he still loved.

“Indeed she scalded me. I still love her … I am getting treatment and she will only have to pay for my bills,” he said.

Witnesses said Zvekare fought his nephew whom he accused of having an affair with Mavuna.

When she tried to intervene, Zvekare reportedly turned the fight on her and in her defence, she poured hot water on him.
