Masvingo armed robbery suspect shot dead by cops

Pardon Shoko and accomplices were being trailed by police

Police detectives Wednesday shot and killed armed robbery suspect Pardon Shoko whom they trailed to Ngundu growth point in Masvingo.

The 36-year-old resident of Masvingo city died upon admission at Ngundu Clinic where he was rushed to after a shootout with police.

He was being trailed by detectives together with two other members of his gang named as Brian Jazi (36) of Dangamvura, Mutare and Joseph Makuvise from Gutu.

Jazi and Makuvise were arrested after detectives shot Makuvise dead.

A pistol and two rounds that he was using during the shootout were recovered.

Reports said the three were on their way to Chiredzi on another mission to commit armed robbery.
