Anglican Church priest grabs congregant, fondles breasts

Mbare Anglican Church senior priest Julius Zimbudzana (54) has been dragged to court by a 21-year-old congregant who accuses the man of cloth of grabbing her and fondling her breasts without her consent.
A Harare magistrates’ court heard that Zimbudzana grabbed the woman from behind and put his hands inside her t-shirt before forcibly fondling her breasts.
Prosecutors told court that Zimbudzana tried to drag the woman to his rectory office but abandoned the act after his son suddenly entered the house after attending to a mechanic who had come to view a vehicle which was on sale.
The woman is said to have taken the moment to flee the house and later filed a report at Stodart Police Station.
Zimbudzana was arrested on 8 February facing indecent assault.
He was granted US$50 bail and will be back in court on March 6 this year.
Zimbudzana denies the charge.
His accuser has since stopped attending the church following the abuse.
