Sengezo Tshabangu set for swear-in as Senator

Self-imposed Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) interim secretary general Sengezo Tshabangu is set to be sworn in as a party Senator representing Matabeleland North in the latest episode of the opposition’s leadership charade.

According to a notice by Utoile Silaigwana, the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) Chief Elections Officer, Tshabangu is among a listed few politicians who include former legislator Kucaca Phulu set to be sworn in into the upper house.

His pending swearing in as a senator follows unpopular recalls he has led against several elected CCC MPs and councillors.
