Job Sikhala's legal woes have come to an end after acquittal on public violence incitement charges

A Harare magistrates’ court has ordered Job Sikhala’s release from prison after handing the politician a wholly suspended two-year jail sentence following his conviction last week on charges of inciting public violence.

The ruling sparked wild scenes of celebration from opposition supporters who thronged the Harare magistrates’ Court Tuesday in solidarity with the troubled former opposition lawmaker.

He will be released from Chikurubi Maximum Prison this Wednesday at 8AM.
