15 robbers storm service station, seize US$5 000 cash

In a strange incident, 15 robbers stormed a service station in Southlea Park, Harare Wednesday morning and seized over US$5 000 in cash after blasting a safe.

Police confirmed the incident which occurred around 1AM.

“Police in Southlea Park are investigating a case of robbery which occurred on 24 January 2024 at around 0100 hours at a service station along Simon Mazorodze Road in which 15 unidentified male suspects who were wearing face masks attacked two fuel attendants who were on duty before entering in a shop where they attacked six occupants who were sleeping.

“The suspects then blasted a safe and stole US$5 400 cash.”

Police appealed for assistance from those with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.
