Police have arrested 10 juveniles found at a house in Bulawayo engaging in a vuzu party.
Police confirmed the incident on Thursday.
“The ZRP has arrested 10 juveniles aged between 14 years and 16 years at a vuzu party at number 12 Browning Road, Bradfield, Hillside, Bulawayo. The majority of the juveniles are from two local schools while two are school dropouts.
“Some of them were smoking shisha which contains a substance which is now being verified by CID Drugs and Narcotics.
“The police is now engaging the parents and school authorities for the juveniles. More details will be released in due course,” police said via their official X handle.
Vuzu parties can be described as wild parties which are attended by mostly teenagers where they engage in alcohol, drug and substance abuse and end up voluntarily or involuntarily engaging in sexual activities with various partners.
The incident comes only a month after two groups of juveniles in Harare and Murewa were filmed drinking alcohol.
