Miss Global 2024: Zim representative Kudzai Matizha in dire need of home support
By Caleb Chikwawawa
Kudzai Matizha’s life in the Miss Global 2024 underway in Cambodia hangs in the balance after the Zimbabwe representative to the competition does not make the current first list of leading contestants based on fan vote.
The 21-year-old is representing Zimbabwe for the 10th anniversary of the pageantry and her chances of reaching the semi-finals shall depend heavily on votes.
The race for the prestigious crown is underway with the organisers announcing the top 25 countries leading the fan vote in which 13 countries will automatically qualify for the semi-finals.
Matizha is no longer on the leading list of pageants who have received the most votes.
Zimbabwe made it to be among the 79 nations participating in the competition.
Her compatriots need to play their part in ensuring one of their own reaches the semis set to take place on 13 January.
Matizha has represented Zimbabwe well on different platforms competing with several beauty queens around the world.
Miss Global preliminary completion will commence on 13 January.
The current Queen, Shane Tormes of the Philippines is going to pass on the crown.
