Khama Billiat urged to apologise to Kaizer Chiefs

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Khama Billiat has been advised to apologise to the club.

The 33-year-old abruptly left Amakhosi before the start of the current DStv but has failed to find a club.

According to reports, Billiat’s contract expires end of June but Kaizer Chiefs were keen on a one-year renewal for the star but will a salary drop. The star stopped training end of June and has since avoided calls or mails from the club.

Local agent Ratshibvumo Mulovhedz told SNL24 that Billiat should ask for forgiveness.

“As an agent and having dealt with situations like this one of Khama Billiat before, my only advice to him will be to go back to Chiefs and ask for forgiveness,” Mulovhedzi told SNL24.

“Chiefs wanted to give him a new contract and for whatever reason he rejected it. Go back to the club and ask for forgiveness and if you are successful you will get a chance to play football again at one of the big clubs where you were loved by a lot of supporters.

“He should take whatever the club is offering and then focus on playing football to revive his career. He can combine well with [Edson] Castillo and others and get the team to play and produce much needed result,” Mulovhedzi added.

Kaizer Chiefs have struggled for goals this season and the return of Khama could boost the team. The star hasn’t played an official game since May and could find it difficult to hit the ground running should he find a new club. sapeople.com
